Rural Health Funding Opportunity: FQHC & FQHC Look-Alikes – Modernizing Healthcare Technology and Enabling Interoperability

DHS announced a Rural Health Transformation Plan (RHTP) Funding Opportunity for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and FQHC Look-Alikes! A total of $1,800,000 in RHTP funding is available for FQHCs and FQHC Look-Alikes to implement a Certified Electronic Health Record Technology System and become a participant in one of the Commonwealth’s Health Information Organizations and fully onboard the statewide health information exchange. Qualified entities are limited to one payment that may not exceed $300,000. Please visit the RHTP Funding Opportunity page to become familiar with the requirements and deadlines for this funding. Please note that this payment is an initial funding opportunity. If you do not qualify for this RHTP payment, a future opportunity may be a better fit. Refer to the list of upcoming funding opportunities for a preview of what to expect this year. Application Dates: July 27, 2026, at 8:00 am to August 7, 2026, at 11:59 am, or until or until the authorized funding cap has been met, whichever is sooner. Total Available Funding: $1.8 million; $300,000 per program payment for a total of six awards. In addition, DHS published a notice in the July 4, 2026, PA Bulletin that they have increased the total available funding for the Rapid Response Stabilization program from $25 million to $42.2 million.
