Dietitian Billing in Pennsylvania CHCs: Strategies for Program Sustainability

Join PACHC, Hamilton Health Center, and Union Community Care for a webinar April 9 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Chelsea Johns, RDN at Hamilton Health Center, will review Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) versus Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) services, group education including cooking classes and how to bill for them, and grant-funded nutrition opportunities such as Ryan-White funded nutrition services for people living with HIV. The team from Union Community Care, Wendy Shelly, RDN, and Jennifer Bowlan, Billing Specialist, will review the structure for billing nutrition services, sample quality improvement data since the addition of nutrition services, partnerships for grant funded group education, review of dietitian procedure codes, and CMS guidelines regarding nutrition visits.
